Internal Audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity that adds value and improves Council operations. It provides assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control systems, evaluates compliance with statutory requirements, by-laws and standards such as IPSAS, and promotes accountability, transparency and the efficient use of public resources. Mangwe RDC has a whistle-blowing policy protecting those who report wrongdoing.
