
The Finance Department is responsible for the efficient management, control and safeguarding of Council financial resources in accordance with public finance management regulations and Council policies. It oversees budgeting, revenue collection, expenditure control, financial reporting and compliance, ensuring transparency, accountability and sustainability in the use of public funds, and provides financial advisory services to support informed decision-making.
Billing and collection of rates, levies and service charges with official receipting.
Preparation and management of Council budgets and annual financial statements.
Customer billing, payment reconciliation and rates-clearance services.
Advisory support to Council departments and management on financial matters.
