
Council operates through a Full Council of elected ward councillors and women's-quota councillors, chaired by the Council Chairperson. Day-to-day administration is led by the Chief Executive Officer as Accounting Officer, supported by departmental heads. Decision-making is guided by a system of committees that consider matters in detail before recommendations are made to the Full Council.
